Here is the approximate schedule of events, with all times local:
7 p.m.: The ceremony begins. The archbishop of Paris strikes the doors of the cathedral — with a staff made from a roof beam that survived the 2019 fire — and a choir sings Psalm 121 three times before the doors open.
7:10 p.m.: Officials enter the cathedral and a film about its renovation is shown.
7:20 p.m.: A tribute is paid to firefighters who saved the cathedral and artisans who rebuilt it.
7:30 p.m.: President Emmanuel Macron delivers a speech.
7:40 p.m.: The religious service starts, presided over by the archbishop in the presence of Mr. Macron, Roman Catholic clergy members and foreign officials including President-elect Donald J. Trump. The archbishop blesses the cathedral’s great organ, which had to be cleaned of toxic lead dust. He leads in the chanting of prayers and gives the final blessing.
A live concert in the forecourt of the cathedral had been scheduled to follow, with Gustavo Dudamel conducting the Radio France Philharmonic Orchestra and performances by Pharrell Williams, the Chinese pianist Lang Lang, the Beninese French singer Angélique Kidjo and others.
But with rain and heavy winds forecast for Saturday eveningleoxplay philippines, France Télévisions, the national broadcaster, recorded the concert on Friday night and was scheduled to air it after the service.
