MANILA, Philippines — The Land Transportation Office-National Capital Region (LTO-NCR) caught 5,769 motorists in Metro Manila for various traffic rules violations from July to September.
LTO-NCR Director Roque Verzosa III said Friday that from the figure, 2,451 motorists were apprehended for violating Republic Act No. 4136, or the Land Transportation and Traffic Code; 1,625, for unbuckled seat belts; and 593, for wearing unauthorized motorcycle helmets.
Article continues after this advertisementVerzosa explained that among violations of the Land Transportation and Traffic Code were unregistered motor vehicles (355) and driving vehicles with defective accessories, devices, equipment, or parts (888).
